"Buzz" Crowe Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Elkville Christian Church for Jess W. "Buzz" Crowe, 64, of Elkville. Burial will be in the Hallidayboro Cemetery.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Keeling-Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin and from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Mr. Crowe died at 9 p.m.

Tuesday, March 20, 1979, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. He was a cloth cutter at Cal Crest Manufacturing Co. in Murphysboro. He attended the Elkville Christian Church and was a member of the Amalgamated Cloth Cutters Union Local 761.

Mr. Crowe was born Feb. 17, 1915, in Cambria, to Lawrence and Susie Bush Crowe. He was married to Beulah Jennings, Feb. 14, 1949, at De Soto.

Survivors include his wife of Elkville; one son, Jess Edward, of Murphysboro; two daughters, Sandra Barringer of Salem and Linda Huite of Du Quoin; two stepsons, Jack Jennings of Murphysboro and Freddie Jennings of Herrin; one brother, Lawrence of Elkville; three sisters, Eunice Malone of Decatur, Ruth Ann Owens of Elkville, and Betty Simpson of Salem; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. for drowning victim David E. O'Daniel, 74, of Cobden, was found dead Monday in a farm pond at his home in Cobden. His body was recovered at 11:04 a.m.

Wednesday, March 21, 1979, by conservation and Union County authorities. Mr. O'Daniel was a farmer and a member of the Walnut Grove Methodist Church west of Cobden. He was born May 5, 1904, in Union County, to David M. and Fannie Boyer O'Daniel.

Survivors include one sister, Fannie HI-NEIGHBORS Square Dance Club trail end dance, 8-11 p.m. Friday at the Carbondale Park District Community Center; callers will be Junior Ashby of Paducah, and rounds will be cued by Phil Robertson. Rose Etta Little Rose Etta Little, 87, of 705 E. Olive Du Quoin, died Tuesday, March 20, 1979, at the Fair Acres Nursing Home in Du Quoin, after a long illness. Mrs.

Little was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin and the Women's Missionary Union of that church'. She was born Dec. 20, 1891, in Jackson Countv. to Andrew and Sarah Eliza beth Norman Moye. She was married April 1, 1911, in Perry County to Henry William Little, who preceded her in death in August of 1952.

Survivors include three daughters, Lola Proctor of Du Quoin, Delcie Wrright of Ina and Delores Gilliam of Du Ounin- tun snns John Utile of Orlando. and George Little of Du Quoin; two sisters, Bessie Coleman and Pearl Dimaggio, both of Du Quoin; and 16 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandcliildren. ceded her in death. For more information call Matthew Daub at 549-4438. Agnes Holland Agnes Holland, 79, of 406 W. Poplar West Frankfort, died at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 1979, at the Union Hospital in West Frankfort. Mrs.

Holland was a member of the First Christian Church of West Frankfort. She was born Feb. 7, 1900, in Imbo-den. to Sanford and Ladona Rag-sdale Brown. She was married to Era Holland, who died in 1967.

Survivors include three sons, Victor of Metropolis, Herbert of Christopher, and Robert of LaGrange Park; three daughters, Dana Ivec of Joliet, Lois Petts of Brookfield, and Sherry Finney of West Frankfort; 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Verona Castillo of Wagoner, and three brothers, Sanford of Tacoma, and Lester and Vernon, both of Phoenix, Ariz. She was also preceded in death by a son, Eugene, and an infant daughter. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort. Burial will be in the Denning Cemetery in West Frankfort.

Mr. Reid died at 15 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 1979, at his home. He was employed as a U.S. mail carrier; and was a carpenter and cabinetmaker.

He was a member of the West Vienna United Methodist Church, the Saline Masonic Lodge No. 339 in Goreville and a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. Mr. Reid was born Jan. 22, 1921, in McCracken County, to Rollie and Olamae Morgan Reid.

He married Gwendolyn Tanner Jones Oct. 21, 1949, in Blytheville, Ark. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Phillip Jones of Bay, and Douglas Reid of Vienna; two daughters, Melba Cates of Chattanooga, and Ruth Williams of Vienna; four grandchildren; his stepmother, Nancy Reid of Paducah, five brothers, Sam of Buncombe, Auldie of Hickory, John of Paducah, Rollie Jr. of St. Clair Shores, and Charles of Sym-sonia, three sisters, Thelma Deyoub of Harper Woods, Josephine Perry of Boaz, and Ella Mae Hicks of Symsonia, and two stepbrothers, Jay T.

Freeman of Reidland, and W. A. Freeman Jr. of Paducah. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death: Cast of Cobden; six brothers, Amos of Carterville, Otis of East Alton, John, Nue, and Herman, all of Cobden, and Albert of Jonesboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden. Burial will be in the Casper Cemetery south of Cobden. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home in Cobden.

First United Methodist Church of Vienna and Egyptian Chapter 30, Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Mott was born Dec. 23, 1922, in Harrisburg, to Clint and Leila Verhines Taylor. Survivors include her parents of Vienna; two daughters, Linda Penry of Flora and Billie Schneider of Knoxville, one son, James Taylor of Ran-toul; five grandchildren; two sisters, Nysabea Veach.of Vienna and Rhodene Hosick of Statesboro, and one brother, Clinton Taylor of Metropolis.

Deborah 'Stevie' Brewster Brewster services set at 2 p.m. Friday Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church in Herrin for Deborah "Stevie" Brewster of Herrin, who died Tuesday, March 20, 1979. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Van Natta Funeral Home in Herrin.

Mrs. Brewster was an active member of several charitable organizations in Southern Illinois. She was recently presented with the Merit Citation, the American Cancer Society's highest award to a volunteer. William South Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Van Natta Funeral Home in Herrin for William South, 70, of West Chicago, formerly of Herrin, who died Monday, March 19, 1979, in West Chicago.

Mr. South was born May 22, 1908, in Grand Tower, to William and Julia Layman South. He was married Aug. 17, 1923, to Lucy Walker. She preceded him in death in 1978.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Patton of West Chicago; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Nellie Younkin and Mary Kowalis, both of Herrin. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Julia Ann. Burial will be in the Herrin City Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Herbert Duensing Herbert L. Duensing, 64, of Hammond, died Tuesday, March 20, 1979, in Hammond. Death was attributed to natural causes. He was born July 29, 1914, in Illinois, to Mr. and Mrs.

Adolph Duensing. He was married Nov. 23, 1939, in Steeleville, to Nelda Bockhorn, who preceded him in death June 17, 1978. Survivors include one son, Herbert Lee Duensing of Highland, three brothers, Adolph Duensing of Bremen, Raymond Duensing of Lake Jackson, Texas, and Wilbert Duensing of Steeleville; two sisters, Mabel Schnoeker and Alma Uchtman, both of Steeleville. Two brothers also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Bremen. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 6 p.m.

to 10 p.m. today at the Schroeder Funeral Chapel in Chester then at the church after 9 a.m. Friday. Myra Stidd Myra Stidd, 88, of Route 1, Royalton, died at 1:25 a.m. today, March 22, 1979, in the Herrin Hospital.

Mrs. Stidd was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Knoff Bend. She was born Dec. 11, 1890, in Williamson County, to George and Rena Jacobs Dean. Survivors include a son, Glenn of Royalton; and four daughters, Pauline Spiller of Nason, Loretta Murphy of Raton, N.

Ruth Schablowsky of Phoenix, and Imogene Sanders of Royalton; a sister, Wanda Fann of Hurst; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Moeller-Vantrease Funeral Home in Royalton. Burial will be in the Miners Cemetery in Royalton. Friends may call after 5 p.m.

Friday at the funeral home. Earl Brymer Earl Brymer, 64, of 1300 Follis Johnston City, died at 7:15 a.m. today at the Ray White Health Care Center in Herrin. Mr. Brymer was born May 13, 1914, in Caryville, to Van and Elizabeth Crabtree Brymer.

Survivors include a sister, Doris Howell of Johnston City; and two brothers, Clyde and Eugene, both of Johnston City. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Murman and Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. John R. Gonzalez John R. Gonzalez, 73, of Route 2, Benton, died at 8:50 a.m.

Wednesday, March 21, 1979, in the Franklin Hospital in Benton. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mr. Gonzalez was born Oct. 19, 1905, in Jalico, Mexico.

He came to the United States in 1923 and worked as a stationary engineer in Chicago. He retired as a farmer after living in Franklin County for 11 years. He was a navy veteran of World War II. He was also a member of the Jackson Grove Baptist Church, where he was the Sunday School superintendent. Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Fleming; two sisters; four brothers; and several nieces and nephers.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Jackson Grove Baptist Church east of Benton. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Friday at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home in Benton.

Franklin D. Walker Franklin D. Walker, 43, of Eldorado, died unexpectedly Monday, March 19, 1979. Death was attributed to natural causes. Mr.

Walker was the driver of a concrete truck. He was a member of the Air Forco Reserve. He was also a member of the Baptist Church. He was born June 27, 1936, in Harrisburg, to Sam and Emma Wiley Walker. He was married at Waukegan, to Donna Thomas.

Survivors include his wife of Eldorado, his Emma Walker of Chester; one son, Robby Walker of Eldorado, two daughters, Terri Walker of California and Ann Beth Walker of Eldorado, four brothers, Robert Walker of Braceville, Jackie Walker of Decatur, the Rev. Fred Walker of Roseau Dominic, West and Glenn Walker of Dallas, Texas; four sisters, Barbara Drysdale of Waukegan, and Mary McAdams, Evadine Waltemate and Freda Hirte, all of Chester; and one half sister, Virginia Boyett of Harrisburg. One brother, Bill, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Schroeder Funeral Chapel in Chester.

March 2, 1979, at the Jackson County Nursing Home. She was a former employee of the Illinois Department of Public Aid and served as a former city clerk of Vienna. Mrs. Mott was also a member of the Florence Troutman Funeral services for Florence Trout-man, 76, of 107 School Zeigler, who died Tuesday, March 20, 1979, at her home, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Zeigler.

Burial will be in the Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi. Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Vantrease Funeral Home in Zeigler. Elsie Deckard Elsie Deckard, 60, of 112 Prairie, Zeigler, died at 2:15 a.m. today, March 22, 1979, at her home.

Mrs. Deckard was born Dec. 24, 1918, in Indiana. Survivors include three sons, Richard McNew of Fairdealing, Edward McNew of Laredo, Texas, William McNew of Belknap; two daughters, Charlotte McNew and Nancy McNew, both of Indianapolis, two stepdaughters, Betty Gribble and Bonnie Bolenbaugh, both of Grover Hill, Ohio; seven stepsons, Ralph Deckard, Donald Deckard, and John Deckard, all of Grover Hill, Ohio, Ray Deckard of Zeigler, LeRoy Deckard of Herrin, Bob Deckard of Farmington, and Robert Deckard of Eldorado, Kan. William Hatcher of Zeigler helped care for Mrs.

Deckard in her later years. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Vantrease Funeral Home in Zeigler. Burial will be in the Hitt Cemetery in Success, Ark. Friends may call after 6 p.m.

and Patricia Gail Rendleman Gray of Cobden. Other survivors besides his parents include one Sister, Angela, at home; brothers, Brian and Barry, also at home; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T. C.

Rendleman of Morganfield, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Gray Sr. of Bonne Terre, maternal great-grandmother, Grace Rendleman of White Hall; aunts anb! uncles and other relatives. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m.

Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Cobden with burial to follow. Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden is in charge of arrangements. Edmund Anthony Martell Edmund Anthony Martell, 82, of 5138 Waterman St. Louis, died Wednesday, March 21, 1979, at his home after a long illness.

Mr. Martell was a retired electrical engineer. He was a World War I Army veteran and a graduate of the University of II-linoisr He was a member of St. Louis Cathedral Parish, St. Louis.

He was born Feb. 23, 1897, in Murphysboro, to Foss and Lillie Richer Martell. Survivors include two sisters, Alma Hansas of Murphysboro and Alice Marie Nordmeyer of Tucson, Ariz. and one brother, Rodolph Martell of Murphysboro. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m.

Saturday at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Murphysboro. Burial will be church cemetery. friends may call after 8 a.m. Saturday at the Pettett Funeral Home in Murpjiysboro.

Wednesday, March 21, 1979, in Centreville Hospital. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Marion. Daisy Jeralds Daisy Jeralds, 80, of 1413 S. 13th Herrin, died at 3:23 a.m. today March 22, 1979, at the Herrin Hospital, after an extended illness.

Mrs. Jeralds was a charter member of the Hafer Baptist Church. She was born April 7, 1898, in Carterville, to Charles and Mary Spiller Campbell. She was married May 17, 1919, in Williamson County, to Burke Jeralds. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Gladys Leeper of Chicago; five sons, Charles of Herrin, Clell of Royalton, Rex of Carterville, Clifton of Chicago, and Frankie of Blue Island; 11 grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 Saturday at the Johnson Funeral Home in Herrin. Burial will be in the Hurricane Cmemetery near Cai terville. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Anna Maria Woodside Anna Maria Wroodside, 81, of Coulterville, died Wednesday, March 21, 1979, at Sparta Community Hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Woodside was a member of the Grandcote Reformed Presbyterian Church in Coulterville. She was also a member of the Shamrock Club of Coulterville. She was born Jan. 21, 1898, in Perry County, to Henry and Sophia Meyerhoff Heinike.

She was married Nov. 25, 1915, in Swanwick, to Samuel Harold Woodside, who preceded her in death Jan. 25, 1962. Survivors include six sons, Millard Woodside of Bellmore, Long Island, N. Clyde Woodside of Belleville, John Woodside of Cahokia Irl Woodside of Williamsville, N.

and Wilmer and Dale Woodside, both of Coulterville; five daughters, Charlotte Fritz of Fayetteville, Eris Ogilvie of Swanwick, Cleo O'Brien of Cahokia, Joan Birchler of Sparta and June Vuichard of Coulterville; and 47 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. Three sisters, two daughters, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also preceded her in death. Funeral sendees will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Grandcote Reformed Presbyterian Church in Coulterville. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
