Collette Grant paced the Terriers with 20 points, and Chris Brewer contributed 14. The Wildcats, now 3-5, were led by Pat Patterson's 18 points. Zeigler-Royalton kept its undefeated record in check with a 40-12 blasting of visiting Waltonville.

Angela Sanders poured in 12 points to lead the Tornadoes, now 13-0. Teammates Vicki Loeh and Lauri Petterson added 8 each in the lopsided win. In the South Seven Conference matchup, Harrisburg handed host West Frankfort a 62-39 setback. Lori Poole scored 17 points and Cheryl Davis added 16 in the Bulldog win. The Redbirds were led by Kathy Wilkinson's 13 points.

At Benton, the Rangers rolled oer Sparta 72-19. Miss Learned and Cathy Rusher scored 12 each to lead the Rangers, now 9-5.
