Sponsored by Resource Reclamation, Inc. UNION County Memorial Day services, 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Francis Yount Funeral services for Francis Yount, 43, of 601 State Chester, will be held Monday in Marquard, Mo. Burial will be in the Patton, Cemetery.

Mr. Yount died Friday, May 26, 1978, at the Glister Mary Lee Corp. in Steeleville. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He attended the Methodist Church.

Mr. Yount was born Nov. 20, 1934, in Patton, to Francis H. and Susan E. Fulton, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include two sons, Brad and David of Murphysboro; two brothers, Robert of St. Louis, and Paul of Piedmont, and two sisters, Mary Martin of St. Charles, and Doris Pre-isrel of San Diego. Arrangements are being handled by the Wilson Funeral Home in Steeleville. Mamie A.

Cox Services will be at 2 p.m. today for Mamie A. Cox, 75, of 300 W. Stockton Marion, at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.

Friends may call until time of services at the funeral home. Mrs. Cox died Thursday May 25, 1978, in Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. She was a homemaker and a seamstress and a member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Marion. She was born in Williamson County on March 22, 1903, to William and Kathryn Wester Stahlhut.

She married Roy Cox in 1922. He preceded her in death in 1971. Three brothers and sisters also preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Jack Cox of Leawood, two daughters, Esther McKenzie of Herrin and Janet Kline of Marion; three brohters, William, Walter and Robert Stahlhut, all of Marion; three sisters, Ida Beltzig of Kirkwood, Frieda Corder and Louise Fluck both of Marion; four grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. The family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society of the Aldersgate Methodist Church in Maroin.

Gertie M. Hamilton Gertie M. Hamilton. 81, of Alto Pass, died Friday May 26. 1978, in the Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet.

Mrs. Hamilton was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alto Pass and the VFW Auxiliary. She was born Nov. 11, 1896, in Union County, to Jasper and Flara Stone McKinney. She married George Hamilton, who preceded her in death on June 23.

1968. Survivors include one son, George E. Hamilton of Lockport; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Walker Funeral Home in Alto Pass.

Burial will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Elmer Louis McGuire Graveside services were Saturday at the Fairview Cemetery for Elmer Louis McGuire, 59, of Rt. 1, Creal Springs, who died Friday, May 26, 1978, at home.

He was born Feb. 6, 1919. in Creal Springs, to Sherman and Rosa White McGuire. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and five brothers. Survivors include three sisters.

Pearl McGuire of Creal Springs, Elsie Rutherford of Indiana, Mary McGuire of Dallas. six brothers. Hester, Bill, Frank and Arthur, all of Creal Springs, Curtis of Pittsburg, and Melvin of Marion. Vick-sburg, Marion, died May 27, 1978, at 7:30 p.m. at Marion Memorial Hospital. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Wilson Funeral Home in Marion. Maude Boyett Maude Boyett, 88, of the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Galatia, died Friday May 26, 1978, in the home. Mrs.

Boyett was born in Ridgway on March 14," 1890, to William and Winnie Abbott Miner. She married Charles Boyett. who preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Clyde Boyett of Marion; one daughter, Margaret Porter of Lockport; one sister, Blanche Wilson of Eldorado and one brother, Earl Miner of Galatia. Services will be at 1 p.m.

Monday in the Gaskins Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. John Lawrence Abney Services will be at 2:30 p.m.

today for John Lawrence Abney, 79, of the Har-risburg Manor Nursing Home, at the Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Burial will be in the Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home until time of services. Mr. Abney died Friday May 20, 1978, in Doctor's Hospital in Harrisburg.

He was born Sept. 23, 1898, to William and Clara Taylor Abney. His wife. Ruby Abney, preceded him in death on July 9, 1977. Survivors include two sons, William of Granite City and Clarence of West Covina.

in the Pinckneyville Community Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Winn was a retired shoe salesman for International Shoe Co. in St. Louis.

He was a member of St. Brunos' Catholic Church in Pinckneyville and a veteran of World War II. He was born in Pinckneyville on June 2, 1906, to Marshall and Bertie Brown Winn. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. He married Alice Duther on Dec.

28, 1957, in Pinckneyville. Survivors include his wife; one son Marshall of Chillicothe; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Bruno's Catholic Church in Pinckneyville.

Burial will be in the church Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the Doerr-Schuebel Funeral Home in Pinckneyville. Rosary will be said at 9:13 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Fred C. Prusz Fred C. Prusz, 83, of 409 W. Chester Nashville, died Friday May 26, 1978, in the Sparta Community Hospital. Mr.

Prusz had been in the Randolph County Nursing Home for four months prior to his death. He was a retired farmer and a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Nashville. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of American Legion Post 110 in Nashville. He was born in Nashville Township in Washington County on April 14, 1895, to Henry and Sophia Becker Prusz.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. He was married to Lydia Clingenberg on May 4, 1942, in Nashville. Survivors include his wife; one son, Henry of Nashville; one brother. John of St" Cloud. two sisters, Bertha Brehm of Ashley and Clara Scheidt of Waynesville, four stepsons, J.

J. Schorfneide of Kirkwood, Raymond Schorfheide of Granite City, and Harry and Charles Schorfheide, both of Nashville; two grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren and one step-greatgrandchild. Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Nashville.

Carbondale police said an apartment occupied by Robert Foley at 607 E.

Park St. was broken into between 5 p.m. Friday and 12:10 a.m. Saturday. A stereo amplifier, tuner, color television and tapestry were taken.

The items were valued at about $860. In the second burglary. Allen Britten reported his house at 414 W. Sycamore had been broken into and a stereo worth $834 was taken. Firemen credit garden hose with assist A man with a garden hose helped keep a fire at his rural Carbondale trailer in check until Carbondale Township firemen could arrive Friday.

Township Fire Chief Donald Struve said Mort Waters of Green Acres Trailer Court on New Era Road discovered a fire in his trailer about 2 p.m. Waters kept a garden hose on the fire until firemen arrived. Struve said Waters' action probably saved the trailer from destruction. "The young fellow did a real good job," Struve said. The fire, which apparently began in a refrigerator, heavily damaged the kitchen and living room of the trailer, Struve said.

The remainder of the trailer suffered smoke, heat and water damage. Struve estimated the damage at $4,300. No injuries were reported in the fire. "(Jonnit' Dunn 37, of Route 3, was found by a daughter at about 4 p.m. when the daughter returned home from school, authorities said. Jackson County coroner Don Rag-sdale said foul play is not suspected at this time, but the cause of death has not been determined.

"It looks like it could be anything," Ragsdale said. Mrs. Dunn was in the car, but the engine was not running, Ragsdale said. She was taken to Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, where attempts to revive her were unsuccessful. She was pronounced dead at 4:41 p.m., Ragsdale said.

An autopsy was to be performed Saturday in an attempt to determine the cause of death; Mrs. Dunn was born in Watertown, N.V., on Nov. 12, 19-11, to Lawrence and Ethel Parnsh McMahon. She was graduated from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 1961 with a major in rural 90 Onto Imm OO home economics. She formerly taught at Zeigler-Royal-ton school and later was co-owner of McMahon and Dunn Interiors in Murphysboro She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Murphysboro and on the council of ministries of the church.

She also was a member of the Happy Homemakers unit of the Jackson County Extension Service, the Murphysboro Merchants Committee and the Murphysboro Chamber of Commerce. She married Larry Dunn on June 24, I960, in Vergenncs. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Greg Dunn at home; a daughter Sandy Dunn at home; her parents of Vergennes; a brother Bill McMahon of Albany, N.Y., and a sister, Janmet Price of Normal. Services will be at 2 p.m.

Monday in the Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro. Burial will be in the Parrish Cemetery in Vergennes. Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the memorial fund of the United Methodist Church in Murphysboro.
