Sunday, March 25, 2007, in the Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County in Murphysboro. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2007, in Pettett Funeral Home, with the Rev. P. K.

Sunny officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County for the Alzheimer's Unit. Paul was bom Oct. 1, 1927, in Murphysboro to Antonio "Tony" Caterino and Josephine (DiBenedetto) Caterino. Mr. Caterino worked as a jacket turner at the former Cal-Crest Jacket Factory in Murphysboro.

He also had been a custodian for the National Guard Armory in Carbondale. He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Eagles Lodge 670 and Elks Lodge 572, all in Murphysboro. Mr. Caterino enjoyed walking, fishing and talking on the CB radio.

His CB handle was "Little Britches." Paul is survived by one brother, Joseph Caterino of Murphysboro; one niece, JoAnn C. Lingle and her husband, Kieth, of Carbondale; two great-nieces, Michelle Lingle Sunday and her husband, Tim, of Frankfort, and Sherry Lingle Martinez and her husband, A. of North Las Vegas, and one sister-in-law, Rosemary Caterino. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Caterino and Thomas "Mossie" Caterino, and one sister-in-law, Norma Caterino. The family of Paul Caterino would like to thank the staff of the Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County, the staff of St.

Joseph Memorial Hospital and Dr. Thomas Kupferer for their care of Paul during his illness. Edna Gordon WEST FRANKFORT Edna A. Gordon, 84, died Friday, March 23, 2007, in West Frankfort. Services will be Wednesday in Shelbyville.

Varis-Stone Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Veterans Affairs. PINCKNEYVILLE Shirley E. Bathon, 73, died at 9:25 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Shirley was born Feb. 20, 1934, in Grays Knob, a daughter to Millard and Lillie Bathon (Hensley) Pace. She married Clarence Bathon on July 11, 1970, in St. Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville and he survives. She worked as an assembly worker at RCA in Indianapolis, an inspector at National Can Co.

in Chicago for 21 years and at Casey's General Store in Pinckneyville. In her lifetime, she was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, TOPS, Weight Watchers and Women's Bowling League in Chicago. She enjoyed visiting gambling boats and enjoyed her friends. Survivors include her husband, Clarence of Pinckneyville; three children; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one brother, one sister and one sister-in-law. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2007, in Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville, with Father Brian Barker officiating. Burial will be in St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2007, and from 8 until 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Bruno Catholic School or the American Cancer Society.

Tuesday, March 27, 2007, in Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava, with the Rev. William Knight officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday and from 7:30 to 11 a.m.

Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Cemetery or the American Diabetes Association. Mr. Reiman was born Jan. 19, 1936, in Murphysboro to Howard M.

and Pauline S. (Young) Reiman. He married Elizabeth Bilderback on July 7, 1956, in Pate Chapel Church in Murphysboro. He was a retired farmer. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth of Ava; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Arthur DesRocher of Chapmanville, W. a son and daughter-in-law, Claude A. and Tracy Reiman of Ava; six granddaughters; a grandson; one great-granddaughter; four sisters, Maxine Ellet and husband, Jerry, of Vienna, Marge Roman of Utica, Ohio, Mary Huseman and husband, Lawrence, of Campbell Hill and Marilyn Stegmann and husband, Roger, of Milstadt; two sisters-in-law, Bonnie Reiman of Murphysboro and Melba Aguilar and husband, Dick, of St. Louis; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Fred "Mick" Reiman.

1 MURPHYSBORO Sophima "Cricket" Phillips, 88, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007, in Murphysboro. Cricket was born in Boynton, Ark. on March 14, 1919, a daughter to the late Pete William and Phillips Amanda (Rouse) DeMann. She married Roy E.

Phillips in Murphysboro on June 6, 1934. Roy preceded her in death May 23, 1992. Cricket was a member of the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church in Murphysboro. She was a homemaker. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m.

Tuesday, March 27, 2007, in Crawshaw Funeral Home, with Pastor William Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in Murdale Gardens of Memory near Murphysboro. Monday, March 26, 2007, at Riggin-Pillatsch Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to Crainville Baptist Church. Charlie was born Oct. 17, 1915, in Evansville, Ind. to Charles Everett and Lucy (Ellis) Carter.

He married Mary Louise Arnold on Sept. 2, 1939, in Evansville, Ind. She preceded him in death Feb. 3, 1985. He then married Wyona Mausey Moore on Feb.

21, 1998, in Carterville. He is survived by his wife, Wyona Carter of Carterville; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Michael Melvin of DuQuoin; two stepchildren and their spouses, James R. "Randy" and Cynthia Moore of Carterville, and Robyn and Mike Jennings of San Diego; 17 grandchildren, Matthew Heckel and wife, Tamara, of Maryland Heights, Laura Reynolds and husband, Rob, of Carterville, Natalie Peters and husband, William, of Holyoke, Rachael Keehn and her husband, John, James N. "Nathan" Moore and his wife, Laura, Rebekah Moore, Jonathan Moore, Katherine Moore, Susanna Moore and David L. Moore, all of Carterville, Sarah Baker and her husband, Brandon, Tabitha Jennings, James Jennings, Thomas Jennings, Joseph Jennings, John Jennings and Michael Jennings, all of San Diego; 10 great-grandchildren, Hannah Heckel, Jonathan Heckel and Katherine Heckel, all of Maryland Heights, Amanda Reynolds and Emily Reynolds, both of Carterville, Henry Peters, Dabney Peters, William Peters and Violet Mae Peters, all of Holyoke, Harry Moore of Carterville; three more great grandchildren on the way; and one sister-in-law, Margaret Thurston of Douglas, Wyo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Mary Louise; and one brother, Everett Eugene Carter. Charlie worked at International Harvester in Evansville, Ind. His father and grandfather had also worked for International Harvester. He retired in 1980, after 50 years of service. At the company, Charlie was the head of the records division, where he converted all the company records from paper to microfilm.

He also worked as an efficiency expert and an internal auditor. She was member of First Baptist Church of Sesser. She 't was also a member of the RebeKahs and a member of Eastern Star for 50 years.

She was born April 26, 1919, t-ln'Afkol, to Evan -William and Sarah Tennessee (Redden) Evans. She married Hurby M. McBride on Dec. 23, 1939, and he preceded her in death July 15, 1988. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr.

Larry and Sharon McBride of Sesser and Gary and Cindy McBride of Christopher; a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Terry Stevens of Sesser; six grandchildren, Lori Vanwey and her husband, Tim, Brian McBride and his wife, Sarah, Todd McBride, Julie Hoppers and her Tommy, Tim McBride and Cory Stevens; eight great-grandchildren, Olivia and Jacob Vanwey, Camden, Riley and Mason McBrJde, Sophi Johnson, Mact Hoppers and Keinon McBride; one brother, Ivor Evahs of Christopher; one sistein-law, Jessie Stoner of Christopher; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Dain Evans; and three sisters, Esther Nowacki, Eva Baker and Nealy Evans. Noah Hurst TILDEN Noah Harold Hurst 80, of Boulder, formerly of Tilden, died at p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2007 -in Boulder Community Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m.

Randy Lance THOMPSONVILLE o. Randy Wayne Lance, 51, of Thompsonville, formerly of Sesser, died at 6:10 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007, in St. Louis University Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m.

Tuesjclay, March 27, 2007, in Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at the funeral home.

Mr. Lance was an artist. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Sesser. He was born July 19, 1955, in Du Quoin to Troy K. Downs and Barbara Ann Latfce of Mount Vernon.

He was raised by Wayne and Fern (Loman) Lance of Thompsonville. He, was the very special conijahion of Ty Ann Thacker of Thompsonville for 23 years. Survivors include two sons, Zack Lance and Shannon Thacker both of Thompsonville; two aunts, Betty and Carolyn both of Norris City; a sister, Tawnya Rojcji of Sesser; a nephew, Trent Senior; two great-nieces, Jessica and Madyson; a niece, Dr. Tara (Counts) three nephews, Gary Henderson, Adam Meeks and Wes Meeks; and four very close-friends. He'was preceded in death by his mother and Wayne Lance.
