12, 2001, at his home. will, 82, of Homosassa, Fla, for merly of Herrin, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, in Seven Rivers Hospital in Crystal Rivers, Fla Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Van Natta Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ron Fergu son officiating.

Burial will be in Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Lawwill was a homemak er.

She was born Feb. 20, 1918, in Energy to John W. and Jessie Smith. She married Lindsey Lawwill. He survives.

Other survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Jan Lawwill of Homosassa and Lindsey Jr. and Pat Lawwill of Herrin; one daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Dick Lynn of Omaha, one sister, Juanita Burlison of Herrin; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Charles and Pat Smith of Freeman Spur and Leon Smith of Marion; gran- children, Barbara and Keith Till-inger of Commerce Township, Steve and Becky Lawwill of Royal Oak, Debbie and Keith Lennington of Rural Hall, N.C., Brad and Tracy Lawwill of Falmouth, Maine, Kevin Lawwill and Michelle and Brandon John son, all of Herrin, Amy and Jere my Starkweather of O'Fallon, and Sarah Lynn and Rachel Lynn, both of St. Louis; and nine great grandchildren. Her parents, two sisters, Wilet- ta Hancock and Deloris Smith, and one brother, Carl Smith, pre ceded her in death. Deloras Henderson GOREVILLE Deloras Hen derson, 86, formerly of Goreville, passed away Feb.

11, 2001, at Winterpark Memorial Hospital in Florida. Deloras was born Feb. 3, 1915, to her parents, Harvey Harvel Hudgens and Lona (Stokes) Hud gens. Deloras was married to James Lowell Henderson (deceased) and was a licensed practical nurse for the state hospital. She was also a volunteer for the La dies Auxiliary and Lions.

Deloras was a life member of Friendship Church in Goreville. Survivors include her children, William Daved Henderson of Marion, Carl Laverne Henderson of Goreville and Marilyn Sue Rees of Orlando, Fla; six sisters, Vivian Escue, Flodene Uhlss and Geneva Hudgens, all of Marion, Athleen Lingle of Jolinston City, Mildred Linsey of Makanda and Ruth Nation of Belleville; two brothers, James Leon Hudgens and Carl Burl Hudgens, both of Marion; eight grandcliildren; five great-grandchildren; four great- great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deloras was preceded in death by her husband, James "Dough belly" Henderson; her parents, Harvey and Lona (Stokes) Hud gens, a son, Jim Jr. Henderson, and an infant brother. Funeral services will be at 11 am.

Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at the Friendship Baptist Church in Goreville, with burial in the Friendship Cemetery. The Rev. John Boyd will officiate. Visita tion will be from 6 to 8 p.m.

Military graveside rites will be conducted by Herrin American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. Visitation will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. today, Feb. 14, 2001, at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home. Mr.

Dare was born Nov. 16, 1929, at Pershing to James Jefferson and Winnie (Upton) Dare. He married Donna Meyer on Sept. 13, 1958, at Beecher. Sir.

Dare was a retired instructor from Rend Lake College. He formerly worked for the Motorol-la Corporation in Chicago. He was of the Protestant faith. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the Army. He was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Dare of Freeman Spur, one son, Jeffrey Dare of Freeman Spur, three daughters and their husbands, Debra and Glen Rus sell of Lick Creek, Diane and Wil liam Robinson of Thompsonville and Kristin and Tim Horsley of Nashville, one stepgrand- daughter. Madvson Darnell of West Frankfort; one sister, Jen nie Rinchiuso of Freeman Spur, and many nieces and nephews, to whom he was known as Uncle Snookums." He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Fern Restivo. Memorials mav be made to Hopsice of Southern Illinois. He was a member of the First Christian Church and Northside Christian Church in Lady Lake. He was born Dec. 6, 1898, in Carterville to W.B. and Azade (Stroud) Halstead. He married Mary Freeman on Sept.

12, 1917, in Marion. She died April 7, 1990. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Verna Halstead of Lady Lake and Sam and Margie Halstead Jr. of Leesburg, Fla; one sister, Mary Hensley of Carterville; eight grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; and eight great- great-grandchildren. His parents, five brothers and three sisters also preceded him in death.

King was bom on Dec. 27, 1919, in Townley, Ala, the son of Roy and Mary (Monfroy) King. He married the former Julia Low-ery on Oct. 3, 1941, and she pre ceded him in death on Sept. 21, 1987.

Mr. King was a retired paint shop foreman at SIU, where he worked for fourteen years. Prior to his working at SIU, he was a self-employed sign painter. He was a member of the Internation al Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades Local No. 32, Ben ton Eagles Aerie 2898, a 50-year member of Benton Masonic Lodge No.

64, where he was a past master, Scottish Rite Bodies of Southern Illinois, Ainad Tem ple of East St. Louis, Royal and Select Masters of the State of Illi nois, Patton Commandry No. 69 Knights Templar, Mount Vernon, BPOE No. 1234 of Benton, Ben ton Boccie Ball Club, American Legion Post No. 280 and VFW Post No.

2671. Mr. King was an Army veteran of World Warn. He was of the Methodist faith. survivors include a son, Wayne L.

King and wife Sharon of Benton; four grandsons, Mike King and wife Julie of Apex, N.C., David King and special friend Chrissy of Whittington, Casey King and wife Barb of Franklin- ton, N.C. and Sgt. Shannon Jones of Fort Carson, a granddaughter, Sherri Jeralds and hus band Tim of Marion; five great grandchildren, Bradley, Adrean- na, Brittany, Andrea, Avery; a sis ter, Jeannette Stevens of Birmingham, Ala; and niece Jea- nie and husband Harlan Henzen of Davenport, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Mrs. Studt was a homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Murphy- sboro. She was born Dec.

30, 1937, in St. Louis. She married Lawrence A. Studt on June 14, 1958, at Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Murphysbo- ro. He survives.

Other survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Lester A. and Barbara Studt of St. Pet ers, one granddaughter, Mary Studt of St. Peters, and one uncle, Roy Clark of Carbon- dale. Her mother, Lola Beatrice Duncan, and one son, David Lynn, preceded her in death.

Main Urbana, with the Rev. Eugene Kane presiding. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Renner- Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Urbana, with a prayer service at 4 p.m.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Champaign. She was born Dec. 30, 1930, in Cambria, the daughter of Sam and Thelma Williamson. She married Leon Mayer on Nov.

27, 1952. He survives. Also surviving are five sons, John of Durango, Mark of Cleveland, Thomas of Tampa, Fla, James of Urbana and Joseph of Sarasota, Fla; a brother, Jerry Williamson of Olmsted; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and a sister. She attended grades schools in Princeton, and graduated from Herrin High School.

She received a bachelor's degree in education from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and masters and doctorate in education from University of Illinois, Urbana. She taught elementary school in Alton, Champaign, Nelson and Dixon. She was a professor of education at Phillips University in Enid, Okla, and Alice Lloyd College in Pippa Passes, Ky. She also supervised student teachers while a doctoral candidate at of I. She was a member of Catholic churches in Urbana, Dixon, Ef fingham and Aviston; the Ladies Guild, Education Committee and St.

Vincent DePaul Society at St. Patrick's Catholic Church; Ur bana and Champaign Senior Citi zens, Food for Seniors, Illinois and Oklahoma Polka Clubs, Phi Delta Kappa, Kappa Delta Pi, In ternational Reading Association, Oklahoma Education Association and National Education Associa tion. She was active in swirnming, nature hiking, bird watching and polka dancing. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society and the Tuition Educa tion Foundation of St.

Buri al will be in Harrison Cemetery in Buckner. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Kondoudis was a secre tary for a real estate agency.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Christopher. She was born Aug. 18, 1948, in Canton to John J. Bradford and Jesse Louise Blue. Survivors include her mother, of Georgetown, Texas; three daughters, Ronelle Cluck of Ben ton, Lisa Reeves of Colorado Springs, and Tari Allen of Coello; seven grandchildren, Eli and Savanna Reeves, Mason Kondoudis, Reilly and Cody Cluck and Dustin and Kailey Allen; and three brothers, Richard Bradford of Coello, John Bradford of Georgetown and Mike Bradford of Carterville.

Key was born Sept. 14, 1971, in Du Quoin. He married Kendra Mandrell. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Frank Issac Key III and Michael Dalton Redman, both at home; his father, Frankie Key of Christopher, his mother, linnie Marie Eubanks of Benton; two sisters, Stacey Key of Benton and Frankie Jo Eubanks of Herrin; and 16 half brothers and half sisters.

Frances R. Pirtle Provart WEST FRANKFORT Frances R. Pirtle Provart, 97, of West Frankfort died at 9:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, in Frankfort Care Center in West Frank fort.

Mrs. Provart was born March 18, 1903, a daughter of Thomas and Laura (Harris) East in Grand Tower. Mrs. Provart was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. She married Carl Pirtle, and later married Merrill Provart, who died in 1957.

Mrs. Provart is survived by two sons, Gordon Pirtle and Wayne Pirtle and wife, Freda, all of West Frankfort; one daughter and her husband, Patricia and Jack Morgan of West Frankfort; two grandchildren, John Morgan of Paducah and Robin Carr of Benton; three great-grandchildren, Amy Earl of West Frankfort and Wesley Morgan and Lexi Morgan, both of Paducah. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Milton Pirtle who died in 1985, four brothers and four sis ters. Private funeral services will be held at Stone Funeral Home, with burial in Denning Cemetery. Rose Nell Long HERRIN Rose Nell Long, 101, died at 2:50 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at her residence. Mrs. Long was born Aug. 17, 1899, in Kelly Station, to James Jackson and Iva (Grant) Adams.

She married Albert Long in 1915, in Kentucky. He died Feb. 24, 1957. She was a homemaker and of the Apostolic faith. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Marion and JoAnn Long of Lake of Egypt; two daughters, Mary Miller and Dolores "Betsy" Long, both of Herrin; two daughters-in-law, Marcella Long of Ferges and Nor ma Long of Herrin; 11 grandchil- dren; several great grandchildren; several great- great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Leon Long and Elbert Long, one daughter, Julia Clark, one sister, Violet Storm, four grandchildren, Melinda Jo Long, Brent Lee Long, Charles A. Clark and Eddie Long and one great-great-granddaugh ter. Visitation and funeral services were private. Interment was at East Lawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Michael Glasco offici ating.

Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, in the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He was born May 1, 1912, near Jonesboro, the son of John Phillip Ernest and Ella Esther (Reischauer) Kollehner. He married Helen L. Menees on March 15, 1935, in Murphy-sboro.

She preceded him in death Aug. 8, 1998. He is survived by a daughter, and son-in-law, Kay and Bob Haley of Bowling Green, a sis ter and brother-in-law, Ruth and Fount Dillow of Effingham; a granddaughter, Deana Reed, and a great-granddaughter, Sarah Haley Reed, both of Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Jonesboro; a member of the Kornthal Luther an Church, near Jonesboro; a civil engineer and a former partner the former Dale Denny Construction Co. in Anna Funeral services will be at 10:30 am.

Paul Vincent Dollman Sr. WARE Paul Vincent Dol lman age 82, of Marion, for merly of Ware, passed away on Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at the Holley Hills Home in Marion.

He was born on July 12, 1918, in McClure to Jessie and Effie Dollman. He married Alline Rhodes on Sept. 12, 1940, in Union County. He farmed all his life in the Ware and Wolf Lake area He was a World War II veteran and was a life long member of the Reynoldsville Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Al line; daughter and son-in-law, Darla Dee and Robert Landgren of Mequon, and daughter-in-law Paul V.

Jr. and Donna Dollman of Marion; two granddaughters, Michelle and Jessica Landgren, one grandson, Deven R. Dollman and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John, Leonard and infant brother, Lester; two sisters, Celeste Dollman and Gladys Knupp. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Thursday, Feb.
