Edwards died at 3:20 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 1977, in Union Hospital in West Frankfort. He was born Sept. 2, 1903, in Williamson County to Scott and Nora Beasley Edwards.

He was a retired construction worker. Survivors are his wife, the former Daisy Dean; three sons, Jack of Route 1, Thomp-6oaville, Theodore of Peoria and Ray of Pekin; one daughter, Mae Edwards Of Route 1, Thompsonville; a sister, Mary Rotramel of 12 grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. ALBERTA HORNEY Alberta Homey, 82, of Creal Springs died at 6:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 1977, at her home.

She was born in Pope County on Dec. 13, 1894, to Andrew and Norabelle Port wood. She was preceded in death by her husband Claude Horney and one brother and a twin sister. Survivors are a son, William C. Horney of Creal Springs; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Cosby Funeral Home in Creal Springs. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

JOSEPH M. HOOD Joseph M. Hood, 83, of 127 George Anna, died at 7:05 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 1977, at the County Hospital in Anna.

He was a retired plumber and a member of the Jones-boro Masonic Lodge. He also was a member of the United Methodist Church in Anna. He was born April 8, 1894, in Keenes to Thomas and Francis nobsi Hood. He married Ivah "Johnnie" Smith Sept. 9, 1935, in Padu-cah, Ky.

Survivors include his wife of Anna; two sons, Earl of Marion and Donald of Goreville; one daughter, Edith Mosko of Euloa, nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Nalene Huvwit of Arcadia, Calif, and Katherine Woodall.of Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Cecil NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE. He was born Jan, 22, 1907, in France to Gaston and Fide-line D'Haillecourt Loiselet. He was married to Mercia Leek in Marion, Dec. 23, 1928. He was a retired coal miner. A sister preceded him in death.

He was a Ukrainian Cossack before the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia. He also served in World Wars I and II. He was retired from the Krey Packing in St. Louis, Mo. and had been a farmer in Macedonia.

He was a member of the St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral in Chicago. Mr. Troyan was preced in death by his parents and' 14 children. SHERMAN WYLIE Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m.

Thursday at the Pyatt Funeral Home in Coulterville for Sherman Wylie, 59, of East St. Louis. Mr. Wylie, a former resident of Swanwick, died Monday, Oct. 10, 1977, in Memorial Hospital in Belleville.

He was born March 21, 1918, in Swanwick, to Talmadge and Lilly Wreath Wylie. Mr. Wylie was a retired railroad employe. Survivors include a sister, Freida Thomas of Pinckney ville. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery at Swanwick.
