Donald Berin collections always have liked long torso dresses, and (their spring versions look good with low flounces in the bouncy Spanish manner. Here the spring trends are interpreted with a more womanly air, which puts them in a broader category than many of the somewhat too young spring look. Some will do it with new fitting, others with soft silhouettes, but the whole effect is feminine all the way.

Gothe showed their customary collection of beautiful even i clothes. The long dresses were outstanding, in crepe, chiffon and lace. Lace is having a big comeback, looking both soft and sexy. Sometimes it's used only in the bodice, embroidered with flowers, but many dresses are entirely of lace, in long torso silhouettes with flounces or ruffling. Harvey Berin puts the new emphasis on suit looks which is characteristic of fashions for this spring.

Chalk stripes on gray, navy with white appear in long jacket suits, in casual little boy suits. Dale McKinnies Don Phillips (Hood) Phillips, the bridegroom's brother, was best man. 28 in the First Baptist Church, Chester. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Walker, Chester. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs.

Rudy Waltemate Sr. and the late Mr. Waltemate. The Rev. Floyd Jent officiated at the ceremony.

The bride wore a white satin dress with balloon skirt and fitted bodice. She carried a purple orchid surrounded by white snapdragons. Frieda Walker, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Ron Goddard, Chester, was best man. Ushers were Bob Walker and Bill Reynolds.

A reception was held in the church parsonage. The bride is employed by Spartan Printing Sparta. Walker is employed by Cowell Chevrolet in Chester. The couple is living at 129 E. Stacy Chester.

WISELY-FERGUSON Vickie Arlene Ferguson and Donald Howard Wisely were married recently in a candlelight ceremony at the Evangeli- cial United Brethren Church. Vergennes. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Ferguson.

Donald Murphy, Western Springs, and Rob Taw-be, Forest Park, were groomsmen. A rehearsal dinner and a reception were held at Engels in Carbondale.

The couple will live at 222 Homestead, La Grange Park, after a wedding trip to Aspen, Colo. Mrs. Fleming is a graduate of Murphysboro Township High School. She graduated from Southern Illinois University. She is teaching in Clarendon Hills.

and Mrs. Fred Phillips of Cambria. Rev. Frank Clark performed the double ring ceremony in an arch of white gladioli and candelabra. A reception was given in the church basement following the ceremony.
