17, 1886. She was the daughter of Napoleon B. and Lucy Anderson Parmly. Surviving are a sister, Lena Vancil of Palisade, Colo, and several nieces and nephews. MARY TAYLOR Funeral services for Mary Lee Taylor, of Phoenix, will be held at 3 p.m.

Monday at the Universal Memorial Center, Phoenix, Ariz. Mrs. Taylor, 83, died Wednesday at 9:20 p.m. in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Phoenix, Ariz. She is survived by her husband, Braxton; a daughter, Nellie Pitman of Phoenix, three sons, G.

C. of Carbondale, Walter of East St. Louis and Lawrence of Phoenix, a brother, Bennie Henderson of East St. Louis; two sisters, Taylor Corner of East St. Louis and Katherine Booker of Cof-feeville, 22 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Deaton, 86, of Bacis-berg Road, Mayfield, ciied Saturday morning in the National Health Extended Care Center in Paducah, Ky. He was a retired farmer. Surviving are two sons, Bill of Paducah and Joe Jr. of Per- NORA H.

FAY Nora H. Fay, 81, of 504 North Murphysboro, died Friday in the Jackson County Nursing Home at Murphysboro after a long illness. She was born Oct. 30, 1891, in Murphysboro, the daughter of Lewis and Mary Perschbach-er Humphreys. She was married to Hugh P.

Fay in Murphysboro on Dec. 31, 1914. Mr. Fay died in January of 1943. Mrs.

Fay was a member of the First Lutheran Church. She was a past president of the auxiliary chapter of the American Legion, and a member of St. Joseph Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Survivors include a son, Nealy of Marion. A son, a brother, and two sisters, all preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Crawshaw Mortuary Chapel in Murphysboro, with the Rev. William Boatman officiating. Burial will be in Tower Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m.

Complete military 134 POW's to be released Southern lllinoisan Calendar Samuel Moore 'Sam' Moore dies after car accident Samuel "Sam" Moore, 68, of 609 Newton, Johnston City, died Friday at 3:30 p.m. in the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. He had been injured in a collision in Carmi at 11 a.m. Friday. He had been employed by the Jewell Tea Company for 30 years as a route driver.

He retired two years ago but had been called back to train a new employe when the accident occurred. He was born in Johnston City on Aug. 11, 1904, the son of John and Ada Jordan Moore. He was a member of the Johnston City Lions Club and the Western Avenue Baptist Church, Johnston City. Surviving are his wife, the former Christina Manion; a son, Robert "Buddy" of Nor folk a daughter, Ellen Taylor of Carmi; four grandchil dren; two sisters, Edna Short and Pearl Stevenson both of Johnston City; and a brother, Roy of Johnston City.

Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Murman and Wilson Funeral Home, Johnston City. Hie Rev. W. D.

Berry will officiate with burial in the Lakeview Cemetery, Johnston City. Friends may call after p.m. today. Deaths BERNARD A. MANN Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m.

in the St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinck-neyville, for Bernard A. Mann. Mr. Mann, of 510 W.

Mulberry died Friday in the Pinck-neyville Community Hospital. He was 82 years old. He was born in Perry County on Oct. 12, 3890, the son of Joseph and Julia Bishop Mann. He married Magdalen Ruppert in Pinckneyville on May 1921.

He retired in 1960 after 48 years of services from Illinois Central as a railroad engineer. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the St. Bruno Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Cecilia McGavin of Eaton, Sister Jacinta of Greensburg, Pa. and Julia Ann DeYoung of Madison, three sons, Thomas and Joseph of Pinckneyville and Charles of Murphysboro; 23 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sister, Gertrude Mathis of St.

Louis, and two brothers, Phillip and Leo of Pinckneyville. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers. The Rev. James Calhoun will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m.

today. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today. LYDIA GROVES Lydia Groves, 80, of Metropolis, former proprietor of Groves Grocery Store, died Friday at Western Baptist Hospital, Pa-ducah, Ky. Funeral services will be 2 p.m.

today in Metropolis. Mrs. Groves lived at 210 W. 18th St. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, Massac County.

The high rise provides low rent housing for elderly West Frankfort residents.

Battle stated also that he will not go to Springfield Tuesday to discuss a Central Illinois Public Service CI PS with the Illinois Commerce Commission because the meeting has been continued. The CI PS is trying to raise rates for public housing units In Benton, West City and Zeigler. Battle said he will attend the meeting whenever it is held. He also will represent housing authorities in Johnson and Pike counties. ENERGY VILLAGE BOARD The Energy Village Board Thursday: Heard City Engineer Larry Lipe explain rejection of lagoon expansion plans by Environmental Protection Agency EPA for the village sewer system.

EPA requires that lagoon meet its standards by Dec. 31, 1973. Lipe prepared an expansion proposal for Energy, which EPA rejected as inadequate. Received citation from EPA on dumping sewage into the lagoon. Village Clerk Kathryn Ltndauer said dumping was due to repair of a faulty pump.

The board will send explanation of repair to EPA which is expected to drop the citation, Mrs. Lindauer said. She was born in Bloom ington, on Sept. 29, 1912, to Guy and Iris Shaver Rutherford.

On June 22, 1935, she married Victor Daschka in Indianapolis, Ind. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Chester. Survivors include her husband; one son, Donald Victor of Chester; two daughters, Sally Stump of Bartlesville, and Harriett Kiehl of Milwaukee, and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Schroeder Funeral Home in Chester, with the Rev.

Floyd Jent officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Chester. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral chapel. Memorial funds have been established for the Cancer Society, the First Presbyterian Church, and Memorial Hospital in Chester.

Davies died Thursday evening at the Memorial Hospital, Aurora, after a lengthy illness. Davies, 49, was a draftsman and a member of the Neighborhood Church of Brethren, Aurora.

WALTER R. CULLEY Walter R. Gulley, 56, Kankakee, died Saturday at Riverside Hospital in Kankakee of an apparent heart attack. Gulley was born in Marion Feb. 15, 1917, to Walter D.
